’67 Shelby GT500 Fastback… these words bring goosebumps to the collector car community. The progeny of the late Carroll Shelby, the GT500 is a centerpiece for any car collector and lover. This numbers matching GT500 is fully documented and in concourse show quality condition. It is registered with the SAAC and has a full Marti report verifying it is a true Shelby GT500 and 1 of 527 finished in Dark Moss Green. It originally was sold new at Carey Paul Ford in Decatur, GA in the spring of ’67 with an MSRP of $4,195 with $356.23 in options bringing the total to $4,551.23 which is equivalent to $32,238.89 in 2014. It is verified as # 1,801 of the 2,048 GT500s built for ’67. Documentation shows that the car was purchased by the 3rd owner and brought home to Kingston, WA in 1995. The 4th, and current owner, then purchased it in the fall of 2000 and brought it to Michigan where it has been meticulously well kept and maintained the past 14 years.
It came out of the San Jose, CA plant and was the 92,851st Mustang produced for the year on April 11, 1967, twenty-two days behind schedule. It also came with the following options: Extra cooling package, courtesy light group, fold down rear seat, power steering, power front disc brakes, interior décor group A, shoulder harness, AM push-button radio, rallye stripes, and a heavy duty battery.
