Description

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

The first generation of the Camaro by Chevrolet did not disappoint as they are some of the most valuable Camaros to date. The Camaro would ride on a brand new rear wheel F-Body platform and would share this with the Pontiac Firebird. It would be built late through 1969 due to manufacturing problems that delayed the introduction of the second generation Camaro slated for 1970. What we have here and are very pleased to present is a very late Z28. In fact, we believe this car to be assembled late October. This car is finished in Garnet Red over Black Vinyl and is believed to have been restored in the early to mid 1990’s. The trim tag appears to have never been off the of the car, the mileage appears to be accurate based on information that has come down the pipeline of ownership. The engine pad is stamped VO929DZ which is accurate, the engine number on the rough casting buy the bell housing is really hard to read and is behind the Headers. The transmission is also stamped with the VIN and the rear end numbers are also accurate. Just like anything else, its always good to do your due diligence. We have title work that pretty much gives us the timeline of mileage and ownership changes, a copy of the window sticker, Protect-O-Plate/warranty card, owners manual, dealer brochure and several other items. The car comes with a set of dated 1969 wheels and Coker white walls. The car was featured on the cover of the 2nd Jerry Macneish Camaro fact book with several items in the book referencing this car. The car comes with its original chambered exhaust system as well as smog pump and manifolds. I do know if these are original to the car or not, but they came with the Camaro. When the car was restored is when it looks like they added X33 trim package as in fact this car is a X77 which would have not chrome trim around the wheel wells and faux air vents. This Z28 Starts, sounds and goes down the road better than it did new and commands attention wherever it goes. It is hard to find Z28’s with the documentation this car has.
